Fragrances or perfumes depend on personal preferences. There are people who love stronger and more vibrant perfumes, while there are others who love a softer and muted fragrances. With the enormous number of perfumes available, choosing a fragrance can be a bit of a task. It is best to go with your gut. What makes you feel happy or gives you that instant satisfaction of a lovely scent.

When you want to buy a perfume, morning is the best time as your sense of smell in the morning is accurate. And when you are at the counter you cannot keep trying different fragrances at the same time. You need to give a break to your nose and brain as your brain is tired of processing all these different scents.

Another important factor that plays an important role in how the perfume smells on you is your body chemistry. A perfume smells differently on every person. If a particular fragrance smells good on your friend, it is not necessary that, it will smell the same way on you. So before buying a new fragrance, just spray on yourself and let it be on you for some time and then you need to decide if you like it on you or not. The notes in the perfumes play at different levels through out the day and slowly it changes on you.
